I got into coaching the first year after football initially in order to stay with the game of football, but after my first year of coaching, it is so much more than that. That lesson isn't just in sports though, it is in life. What are your hobbies? Coaching has not only allowed me to still be a part of the game I grew up playing/loving, but it has also given me the chance to leave a positive impact on athletes just like how some of my coaches left on me.
