Q&A WITH THE TEAM
What do you do and how do you make an impact for others?
I love helping people. A lot of people don't like, or don't understand taxes, so for me I am able to take a stress off of someone else's plate. I also love numbers and how they work within a business. It is fun to see entities be profitable.
What are your hobbies?
I love crafting, sewing, and making customized gifts for people. I have an entire craft room in my house that has a sewing machine, an embroidery machine, and a Cricut. It is my favorite because it allows me to use my creative brain.
What advice do you have for prospective employees of ELO?
Apply and be yourself. Ask questions and be ready to grow.
What have you gained from working at ELO?
The biggest piece I have gained working at ELO is knowledge. You learn a lot in school, and from other work experiences, but working in a CPA firm you have so many knowledgeable people at the tip of your finger. Everyone here is more than willing to help or teach if there is something you don't know. Asking for help can be hard, but asking questions has been the most beneficial learning tool. I also feel confident to want to continue my education to become a CPA.
What are three words to describe ELO?
Teamwork, Hardworking, Helpful.
What is your favorite sport and/or favorite team to watch?
I don't really watch sports, or tv. I couldn't even tell you who played in the super bowl this year. I prefer to read books.
What's on your bucket list?
I would like to visit each state at least once, I have seen 31 out of the 50.
What places have you lived?
I have pretty much lived in Sioux Falls my entire life. Growing up, in the summers I would live in Idaho.
What is one place in the world you would love to visit?
I would really love to travel to Ireland or Greece.
What's the one thing in life you could not live without?
A water bottle. I have one everywhere I go. I also have WAY too many.
