Q&A WITH THE TEAM
What do you do and how do you make an impact for others?
At ELO I work on many different audits, mostly state and local government, and non-profit audits, because I know how hard it can be to understand the rules related to proper accounting processes and I enjoy helping the clients feel more comfortable with their work. Outside of ELO, I serve in a couple different areas in the church, mainly revolving around children, because I want parents to also be able to participate and enjoy the service as well as get a break from their hectic lives with kids. It also helps me to learn how to care for the youngest in our congregation and help be a part of their social development as they learn and grow. I serve at the Humane Society because I want to learn how to appropriately care for animals and I know this is a way to learn while also caring for the community.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy dancing (country swing, west coast modified swing, zumba, etc.) because it is an easy way to exercise while enjoying music and the company of others.
What advice do you have for prospective employees of ELO?
Have an open and inquisitive mindset. Ask a lot of questions and make sure you are understanding your work. It'll take a little bit to get used to the services you provide, but once you do, you can feel accomplished by knowing you are helping your clients, your teammates, and your communities.
What have you gained from working at ELO?
The ability to learn about different industries to find what would suit me best to serve our clients in an open and caring environment.
